Default big lake after work 6-29-11

me and callitocalcasieu hit the lake today after work. i was able to get off work at noon so i headed to calcasieu point to launch the boat and fish till calli got off work. i headed to the north end of the lake and caught a couple specks on topwater. i was throwing a skitterwalk in the pink flavor. i went back to pick up calli and the weather kinda turned on us. fished lng to see if we could find some flatties. picked up 2 on a chart swim mullet. it was fun meeting callitocalcasieu and we will do it again soon. i was back home and had the boat cleaned by dark.

As soon as I perfect my cajun accent, I'm gonna be BEGGING my wife not to make me move to the big city! I would never set foot out of Louisiana if I had my choice. They can keep California's traffic and $600,000 "starter" homes and PETA telling everyone "fish have feelings"!

But I know in about a year I'll probably be sitting in Dallas or Houston traffic, swearing at Texans, thinking about the good food and great people in SW LA, and fondly remembering Darrells po-boys, chartreuse Gulp curly tails, and fishing with Longcast!

I'm gonna be one sad, adopted coon-***, me!
