I can't stand to look at that girl, BUT as much as I hate to say this but our system is innocent until proven guilty. She is guilty as sin, but it was not proved. There was no DNA, no cause of death, too many questions unanswered

My old lady just told me that. Said she prob won't serve any time b/c she already spent 3 years in prison and she has been found not guilty. Just like OJ, not enough evidence.

The state of FLA should never have gone for 1st degree w/ only circumstantial evidence. IMHO she was guilty or at the least knows who killed the child.
But the prosecution Had no hard evidence..

She was convicted of lying to the police not the jury, 4 counts.
If the judge orders sentence to run concurant she will probably get off w/ the 3 years served . if consecutivly she will probably do 3 more years minimum

really, i didnt know lying was a violent offense..
, im not too sure of her criminal record(but im pretty sure she's not a habitual)---in saying that, judges usually only give CONSECUTIVE sentences to habitual offenders...even still, alot of career criminals still get their time ran CONCURRENT(same time)

Don't know what that has to do w/ sentencing ? But lying to LEO in an investigation is a felony offense . Don't have a fla law book handy but i'd be willing to bet that the judge could sentence up to 5 years on each count

You are right in that matter , But you would also know that if the judge gets a verdict that he / she doesn't think is just , He / she can
Take it out on the defendant at sentencing. Not to say that this judge would think about doing that

true, its really up to the judge, it's his name he's putting on the line. also keep in mind just because she's clear in Orange Fl, or wherever it is, the Feds can come in and charge her for the same exact thing. But be assured that if the Feds coming in, they got their shizz together.

I don't think she cares. If she killed her child she is heartless.

Non violent criminals serve their time, and get "good time"/time off for being "good"..so lets say you , eman gets 5 years for doing something non-violent, convicted by the state(not federal/ and not in washington dc) the DOC(department of corrections) --depending on the state--- you would be eligible for early release/probation/supervised released/parole, or some combination of the above mentioned. and be home in less than 2. 2 1/2 if you a wild arse...

FEDS....you serving 85% regardless, and life means life, not like in the state, where dude comes home after 20 serving life...

washington dc , there is no state court, just federal

Unbelievable! A Florida attorney just said she could walk after the sentencing Thursday with the time she has served already.

She will probably make a fortune off the publicity of this trial.
