Mothershipping a Kayak

I've been thinking about ferrying my Kayak out to Big Lake. I would anchor/beach my boat and get in the yak to fish. My question is: If I catch anything big, worth weighing in for the STAR, I could not enter it in the Kayak division,( no mothershipping ), but could I enter it into the normal West division.
