BigGrin Beache on Saturday (8/13)

Anyone got any prdictions for this weekend around Holly Beach? I know I've been hearing that last weekend wasnt all that great. May make a trip out there and want to know what you guys think. Probaly wont mess with the rocks, just hang out near the camps with a canapy up and few drinks near a lit pit.

SW wind been messing w/ the surf over this way something fierce. Only caught it right twice all Summer. Choppy and dirty is how it's been a majority of the Spring and Summer. Had a guy that has had a bait shop for over 40 years in Galveston tell me he hasn't seen he wind this bad in the Summer ever.

Yea, thats kinda what I've been thinkin. Wifes uncle has been on me to make a trip out there. He's more into the drinking and Q'in it up part though. Of course, so am I!!! But it would be nice to catch. I havnt caught at all on the beach yet this year. Only had a couple chances to go, but would really like to make the trip worth it.

Thanks for all the input. I guess now I have a decision to make. Kinda thinking it might be good just to get away and have a few drinks on the beach near the pit. I will see how the fishing goes.

man i just looked at the forecast its showing a light north wind in the a.m. the next 3 days if the water looks nice you should be able to catch a few. If i wasnt fishin the tourney i would be down there but i still might go and try to string some hawgs from the surf one day this weekend
