recoil pad
hey for you guys who are "primitive hunting" with an h&r buffalo classic, are there any recoil pads out there for this gun, or do i have to get one custom made, and i don't know any gunsmiths in lafayette or the 337 area, i don't think a slip on one would work because of the curve in the butt plate, or is there something else i can do to help out the cause, this gun is a bruiser and i don't have enough shoulder to take more than 3 shots with it

About the only thing I have heard of people doing is putting a slip on. Cabelas sells a leather lace up for around 30bucks. Seems to be pretty popular with the buffalo classic owners. I guess because it fits the style of the gun better than others. Here is the link. I know you can find the all brown style also. I think the medium size is what fits this gun.

Try getting on Limbsavers website. They make recoil pads for alot of different guns. Might make one specifically for your gun. Or bring it to Bayou Teche guns and have them make you a muzzle brake for it. Wanna say $150-200. I had them make me one a while back for one of my .270s. Light gun and kicked like a mule.
