everyone pretty much knows that a 30-06 is a 30cal but who knows what the 06 means? I did a little reserch and thought it was kinda interesting what the answer was.

found 2 answers ...... one is the yr 2008 and other is that it uses 308 caseing do you know whats correct

.308 casing necked down to a 7mm projectile. Bought my wife a 7mm-08 and I LOVE that thing
