Default Choc Lab needs a good home

got the word from the wife that she thinks Jax needs to find a new home. It is becoming too much for her to handle 2 labs and Eli while im gone, especially if hes not going to hunt. Believe me, this is a tough decision for her because this has been her puppy from day 1. All of his prior health issues seem to be gone and he has turned out to be a very beautiful and large dog. He has papers (somewhere), even though I never recieved them but I do not advise on breeding him since his earlier issues were hereditary and would likely be passed on. In fact I was planning on having his giggle berries removed here in the near future. I will try to get her to take some pics for me to post, if not I will get some when I get home.

Dont be surprised if she wants to meet and or see his new home if anyone is interested.

Probably not. He hasn't tried to escape my yard by digging or climbing shorter section of fence, yet. But he does spend a majority of his time in a kennel at my house. I have a 8'x14 that both of my labs stay in

If I had the space I'd be all over it. Been wanting a dog, but no space and couldn't afford the extra expense at this point. Hope he finds a good home.

he had red mange as a puppy because his immune system lacked the ability to fight off the mites. This problem is usually grown out of and is manageable if treated. We took Jax off of the treatment sometime before Christmas and havent seen any signs of it returning.

has absolutely no desire to retrieve anything. only thing that really gets him excited right now is eating. he would rather sit right next to you and chill. not sure if it was having to stay at home and not get to see anything but the kennel and my small yard that made him that way. I couldnt risk taking him anywhere for most of the first year because of his hot spots and susceptibility to staph infections.
