Great weekend on THE BEND!

Met up with Paul and Jude Friday evening and enjoyed some good ole jambalaya. Fished Saturday from 7:30 til 2.anaged around 12 bass. Lost a few with biggest at 2.75. Had 3 other bass following the 2.75 out of the grass all the way to the net Each was her size or bigger. Pretty neat as I have never witnessed bass of these size following another when caught. All fish caught light Texas rigging baby brush hogs in 8-16 ft of water. We managed a 10 lb stringer for the tourney but it wasn't enough. That evening we headed down to Toledo village by the damn to enjoy the evening tubing and soaking on the beach. My little man got to go on his first boat ride and I do believe he's hooked.
We fished this morning for a few hours and missed a few good fish. Lost one between 4 & 5 lbs due to its acrobatic jumps and head shakes spitting my jig. Then we saw another nice one on the drop off by the pencil grass and sammich threw his fluke perfectly behind and to the side of her and as the bait passed we saw her turn and dive for it. He set the hook momentarily and lost her. O well that's fishing. We managed a couple today but nothing worth bragging about except spending time on a beautiful lake in gods country!

Great time this weekend Donnie. I appreciate the invite. I thought I had something to put on the wall when I hooked that big cat. He hit that sexy shad crank HARD!
