Fished the river Thursday evening out of White Oak Park. Headed north and threw topwater. Tried the chugbug and nothing. Picked up a red shad worm and caught a nice 13 inch fish. I didn't relly want to fish plastic so I tried a white large blade buzz bait. The bass were tight to the bank so perfect casts were a must. Ended up with 6 keepers. Left at 8 just when they relly wanted to bite. They river is covered with small shad balls. But they are not schooling?! They still eating crawfish. I confirmed this when I cleaned one and it had a red and black crawfish in it's belly. I threw a red and black crankbait with no luck. They want that sloww presentation I guess. If anyone has any better advice I am all ears. Maybe "Fool" can straighten this out!!!
