teal hunt

Made a hunt this morning with my uncle and one of his buddies.....10 teal. They flew early which has been completly different than past morning. Still not like the past few years for teal season in the Kaplan area.

Birds were thick in the rice fields this morning north of Iowa, went solo took about 2 minutes. Oh and the mosquitos were even thicker.

No not really.....just a few very light drops from about 6 to 6:30 but not even enough to get you wet....but we had a heck of a lot of Skeeters....Most so far this teal season. Just me, I almost went thru a can of OFF....Going back in the morning. Getting up at 3:15am for the BR to Kaplan run is getting old....

skeeters are horrible in the bluff! This morning for school we normally sit outside before school, we had to go inside they was soo bad!

Granted the Skeeters have been bad, but today for some reason the spray was not working. I guess they are getting immune to it.
Hopefully, they will flying again tomorrow morning....

You needa get you one of those Thermacells. I have one and I NEVER go hunting without it, that thing works. Although I hear some people say that they threw theirs away because it wasn't making a difference. Worth a shot though IMO.
