I was taking a couple buddies to v bay today. They never fish and i haven't fished the bay in months. I was thinkin about just fishing in marsh island and trying to pick up some reds. Didnt know how the trout fishing has been through the pass or tete butte. Can anyone tell me where we might be able to pick up a few trout?

I love to fish the island for reds there isnt that much boat traffic in there so its kind of peaceful. As far as trout i have only caught a few dinks so i really cant help you bump a few reefs in the pass and see what you can pick up also try the cove last time i was out there that was probably some of the best water i had seen. You can also try working birds last time i did that around dry reef it was full of gaftop

for reds shrimp 18" under a popping cork and work grass beds. High tide is right now and should fall all afternoon. Trout are hit and miss...
