Default Looking 4 a guided hunt to Illinois Kansas

Gave up my lease in tx this yr bc I was paying 4 k a yr and with guiding duck hunts now only had 1 week to deer hunt. I wanna book a trip w an outfit but I have only known 2 people to go they went to hadly creek and said its nothing like u see on tv neither one killed or even saw a deer over 130. I'd like to stay under 3500 any recommendations?

I'm going to blue river whitetails in Kansas in September for a early season bow hunt. Check them out. It seems to be a really good place!

My buddies hunt Indian reservation in Nebraska for Omaha tribe. They shoot some big ones. It's some kind of draw for tags. They always kill a few nice bucks. One got one 170" a few years back. Its very cheap. One of my good friends went on a pay hunt in Kansas last year and missed one good one at 50 yards with bow and that was only Good one(had to be over 130") him and his buddy saw. I went to Kansas in May on a public turkey hunt. Beautiful place. Got one first morning and then worked to get other guys with me one. I will definitely be back next year. Possibly this fall for a pheasant hunt.

I hunted here twice. Never saw anything over 140 but there were a couple of good ones killed when I was there . It's very affordable , about $600 less than it was a few years ago . It's semi guided on small pieces of land they have leased.

I went to a place called the grigsby in illinois. Operated by cio outfitters at the time. Under someone else now i think. I killed a 150" 9pt. Beautifal place and lots ofbig deer. Be real careful have been to 2 other places in illinois and missouri and they sucked . Really have to check these places out before u go.

North side of Milford Lake, KS. They should have plenty of outfitters in the area.

And if you willing to spend about 6K, go to areas around Medicine Lodge, KS.

We hunt Southern Kansas every year on private land around Cedar Vale, and its a good area. There are plenty of good bucks, 150 class, but they don't grow on trees! My buddy from Arkansas has lots of land leased up and charges a fair fee to put you in position to try to take a trophy animal. His name is Rob Engster and his number is 479 806-8766. I believe he told me he was booked up for this year, but you can always give him a call to see if he gets any cancellations. He can also send you game cam pics and previous success pics. His wife shot a dandy a year or two ago.

Jared,

I have a buddy that goes to Northern Missouri every year on a place. I think he only pays $800 a year and you can hunt the outfitters stands or your own. My friend has killed two monsters on the place, but they don't kill every year. He also said there was a ton of public ground right next to the place. If you want the info I can get it for you, just let me know.
