An 11 lb gafftopsail would be a 1st or 2nd place Louisiana record if you bothered to have it weighted officially. The 1st place record is 11.06 lbs. The second place is under 7 lbs.

Caught one on a topwater just outside of SW pass bottomed out 15 lb Boga.
I was joking that it was probably a record. We caught 5 or 6 really big ones all of them were over 8# before we gave up and moved. Who knew?

I have caught plenty that would get me in the record book but, don't think I want that record. My friends would rag me for the rest of my life. LOL
