Hunted yesterday killed 23 same area today thousands of ducks but we have 4 goose consentrations close close. Prolly 500yds give or take in all directions. And yesterday new birds were working well like usual not decoy shy(landing way outside) but today you couldn't work a duck. They would come over by the hundreds one after the other even smaller groups going strait to geese on ground. I figure its a confidence thing. Y'all think a rag spread in my goose field (west side) and all ducks on east side may help? This is the only conclusion I can come up with. Tried no calling and everything else even just whistle they would cup over top just to dive bomb geese. Pintail mallards spoons teal everything. In thinking of doing it and I'm sure it won't hurt but anyone else have suggestions so I don't spend hrs putting out n picking up dekes?

Sounds like you need to bounce that hen a little more.

Yesterday ducks worked great for us today they wouldn't work at all. That's hunting. I don't think putting out a rag spread would make the ducks land closer but I don't know that. They will always go where there is a big concentration of live birds IMO

Hahaha we had that idea the other day... Tell the GW I'm deer hunting... I put out all the decoys to fool the deer so they would think we were duck hunting

Hopefully the big groups around you will be gone by the time the season is over... All bs aside my uncle use to stock up on bottle rockets for occasions like yours... If he had your problem he would ride down the closest road to the geese and let a few rockets fly there way... He said" talk about some geese leave in a hurry!!!!"

Hunted many time with a rag spread on one side of the levee and duck decoys on the other side. I think it definitely gives the birds confidence when seeing a larger body around them. That's my experience with hunting near the end of the season. Worked really well for me in the past.

I had geese in my field and noticed more ducks coming in also! Especially the pintails!!! After the monsoon hit thegeese left. I had to put out a few dozen snow dekes out to get the ducks to come down and take a look! So yeah i think it might help! What could happen? It work or not work!?

Is there any way for you to keep the geese from piling up around you? park atv near area or some other eyesore? From my experience once live birds hit the ground or water you can pretty much call it a day.

Noticed plenty of times in late goose season setting rag spread and have lots of ducks and doves flocking to rags I think they are thinking the geese are on a field with feed and that's why they come.i think it will help you get the ducks in but it is a lot of work
