Default best Reef anchor?
Ok fellas, what is the best reef anchor you have used? i am looking at something like this and want to make sure it will work. its gotta hold a 21' boat full of beered up fishermen...

any suggestions?

My buddy had one like that and threw it away because it was a waste of space. Get a metal one with the two sharp points. The main piece that you tie to swivels up and down so it can grab very well .....come to Academy....ill sell you one! LOL!

Academy dude, you mean like the one below? TheY dont hold on a reef in heavy current. if its a different one, post a SKU so i can look it up.

Like "W" posted, claw anchor is where it's at! The 11 pounder will hold a 21' boat anywhere you want.

Jerry's marine in sulphur. Not sure what size boat you have, but mine is 24' and the anchor for 21' and down is what I have and I works great!

It goes from 4.5# for 18', to next size being 11# for 23'

Seems like a pretty big jump between the 2. I have an 18' Kenner right now but feel like I should get the 11' pound and I can keep it forever no matter what the boat is.

I looked at the link, 11# is what I have. It works great for my boat and dry hull weight is 2500#'s.

I have had many anchors, this is by far the best I have ever had. It holds in almost any bottom.

W, you still got that pic of how to rig the anchor?

Jerry's does carry them and at a decent price.
