Does anyone use an electric duck plucker w/ the rubber fingers? Wonder how they work?

That's what I'm saying even no matter if you got a easy way to clean them or not that's the ticket for someone who is huntin 4 or 5 times a week even if you have 15 or 20 ducks that's quick work and after a year at 5 to 7 bucks a bird it'll pay for its self in a season or two

They work pretty good. Especially if you scald the ducks first.

One of the videos said you have to scald and you have to have a way to wash plucked feathers out. The bad thing is to buy one of those machines the cheapest I saw them for was 600

My uncle build one of the whiz bang pluckers, bought all the instruction manual and pieces from the guy that makes em. While they do great for chickens like shown in the YouTube videos they DO NOT work as great on ducks. They are too small and either get ripped up pretty bad or get spit out of the feather discharge. I've witnessed this first hand.

When I was a kid we had a box with a motor inside with rubber knobs on it. Then had shop vacs hooked to them. Turn on the motor and shop vac and pluck em. Shop vac would suck up all the feathers and you would just dump shop vac.
