There was a post on her by "W" that was good. It was a while back. Maybe someone can dig it up and repost it. It should be a sticky.

Us Pilgrims go in HOT on big Motor. When you get dead center of the Birds, sling your anchor as far as you can. Bait up a Skrimp , open a cold Beer, and Fish.

Waste of Battery. Can't hear it for the Bow slapping the waves. We hear it attracts the Fish.

Best to try and trap the school against some kind of structure. The way to do this is a couple well choreographed figure 8s

I've found the figure 8 to scatter more than trap... I think the best method is just a regular circle... I generally use 3 or 4 circles around them with the big motor... after that the fish will be bunched up better and they'll be hitting empty hooks on every cast!!!

I would suggest the ol "no 6"
Taggart: I got it, I got it !Hedley Lamarr: You do? Taggart: We'll work up a "Number 6" on 'em! Hedley Lamarr: "Number 6"? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that one... Taggart: Well, that's where we go a-ridin' into town, a whampin' and whompin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the women folks, of course. Hedley Lamarr: You spare the women? Taggart: Naw--We rape the sh... out of them at the Number 6 Dance later on! Hedley Lamarr: Marvelous! |

Find a group of birds that no one is on and try to get on them without spooking. You will mess up but practice. There are plenty of A$$holes out there so just avoid them. W provides good advice but there is no law or definite rule.

Fish the slicks...after the bird run is over. Fish as far as you are able to make your longest cast onto the moving water edge of the slick. Yes, it could hold just reds, but in my book I would much rather fish a skank-smelling slick over birds anytime.
