Default My 2 new best friends!
Got these put on today just before bed fishing gets here. Any suggestions on proper maintenance and care and things to watch out for?

Be mindful of the 2 bottom bolts on each pole where the arms meet the mounting bracket. Being you have 2 poles, they will wallow out and eventually break from the torque of the bow trying to spin in the wind.

You'll start to notice slack in the arm when you're trailering or running. The poles will shake side to side. I've had to replace quite a few bolts since I put in a second power pole. Just keep an eye out and you won't have any major trouble.

Second power pole? Holy crap, I really haven't seen you in a while.

I just kept my hds7 and 5. Prolly add the structure scan at a later date. Thanks for the info. How often do h have to add hydraulic fluid?

Another thing you might want to consider. Power Pole sells a kit for when those bolts do break. I would invest in one and keep it on the boat with the tools to fix it.

10 minutes and you're back together. It sure beats tying the broken one up with rope or bungee cords to keep it from moving around.
