I have low and bare spots in my yard from the kids wearing it out. Is it better to level low spots with sand or dirt. I will also be putting some new sod down in places.
Thanks |

agreed, that sugar sand levels itself when it rains but try to keep the kids off it until the roots take or it can get pushed around too much since it doesn't pack in place right away like dirt does

If it's a few small low spots you can dig up your sod and fill with dirt then put the sod back. I was told that if you put sod over existing grass with a little dirt in between, the rotting sod underneath could cause problems for the new sod.
Sharpen your shovel if you can |
