I bought boat and trailer over 2 years ago, the trailer tags were still good so I didn't transfer it into my name right away.. Went to get it notarized and guy tells me the seller of the trailer needs to be the one who gets it notarized , not the buyer.. OR something about if there were 2 witness signatures that one of those could come do it. There is one 1 witness signature already on it.. Problem is I cannot get ahold of or find the people I bought it from to help me finish the transfer.. Anything else I could do? Or a possibly a notary that could help me out?
Thanks |

In my experience the buyer seller and witnesses have to be present to sign a bill of sale for the trailer. Then the bill of sale can be brought to the dmv.

You wont be able to get a notary to notarize the bill of sale and title w/o registered being present. You have alot of work ahead of you. Hope you can track them down.
