Wednesday while fishing in the 4 Bayou area east of Grand Isle, my motor quit, and there were no boats around. Called everyone I knew on the island and no one home. Was on the phone with the Coast Guard when a guide boat came by.. I flagged him down and asked for help. His name is Brad Schmit with Fishmaster's Guide Service in Port Sulphur. Just want to give him a HUGE thank you on this site for his kind service. He had two customers with him, but he called one of his other guides to pick them up and then towed me ten miles out of his way back to Grand Isle. I can't thank him enough for the help and would call him any day if I ever needed a guide in that area.

Didn't catch a thing that day, had two fish on but not landed. Fished with a friend the next day and kept 33 nice trout, biggest 23". Caught some under birds, others on points/islands in Timbalier Bay. Water in Timbalier was beautiful, never found any fish stacked up, just a few at each place we stopped. All on plastics or topwater (Spit'n Image). Boat goes in the shop in the morning.

Just for information, what year and brand of motor had you, and what do you think happened to make it stop? This is a wake up call for all of us.
