Well i lost all my yellow crookneck squash and spaghetti squash from rot and my pumpkin been doing the same. Hopefully I got one gunna survive. All I need is one but it would be nice to get a couple more to give to the less than fortunate than me. The rot starts from the base of the flower and works its way through the fruit. Never saw this before.

Have had that problem too bubba. As soon as I see one doing that I cut it off and get rid of it. The mature one should be fine. Using it for seeds?
