Real slow at our lease in Grand Chenier. High water (4" in the blind) and few birds. My wife and I managed 4 (2-Scaup & 2-Ruddys) on Saturday. I picked up decoys at the Little Chenier lease on January 4th and it has not been hunted since. Planning a trip beginning Thursday or Friday this week and hopefully they have relaxed in there somewhat and we'll get a few to close out the season. Sorry I did not download the picture. My wife was taking photos with her new camera and I did not have her send them to me. We hunted until 11:30 am and then I picked up all but about 18 decoys. Placed them in pairs & small groups of 4. Rearranged them some and hopefully I'll make 1 more hunt in GC and get a few birds there as well. I'll report next week for the end of the season.

My father in law hunts with a buddy of his in pecan island (South side). They have only killed an avg of 2-3 ducks since Thurs and his buds lease is all most always getting limits. We shot 6 on SAT at my lease South of Kaplan...3 teal..1 spoon...2 pintails

You have had a very good year quality wise Rod. I can't complain myself with the exception that last year with the water level the way it should be were were loaded up with Green Wing teal until it was over. Oh well we can't have it all. I'm still very happy with this season and we still have a few hunts to go. One trophy bird or one banded bird could be the cherry on top.
