Today I was part of a 3 boat bachelor party and the morning started off great. We are finally enjoying the great outdoors without the biting cold and dreary rainy winter patterns. The trout have seemed to take notice as they are in transit from their winter locales deep in the marsh to the lakes and bays of the Dularge area. This time of year it always seems the bite begins early and doesn't last too long. Today we got on some trout hot n heavy first off with the bite tapering off throughout the morning. Tide was decent and bait is moving around pretty well. We even saw some birds working bait, typical for late March. With the rising temperatures and salinity levels the trout fishing should go back to being predictable and consistent. Our crew had a pretty solid day and are already planning their next trip. Thanks to Capt. Marty for setting up the trip. I have plenty of dates available in April and May including a couple of Saturdays. Call to get your trip locked in.
