Today started out with the east wind pummeling bay. We were on the water extra early expecting a very early bite. We pulled up to the spot we left them biting yesterday. The fish were there waiting for us. I had two guys from Texas and they began wearing them out. The bite was steady for awhile and then shut down. At about 8:30 there was a lull and no one was catching anywhere. I knew we would have to wait them out. We went and checked a few other spots with nothing to show then the east wind started howling. It was nearly impossible to fish in the bay so we got tucked behind an island and waited. There were schools of finger mullet with trout chasing them out the water, but the trout wouldn't bite. At about 10:30 all that changed and the light switch flipped on. Once again we were hot n heavy with the fish coming in from every direction. Good day once again and the trout fishing here in Dularge is as good as it gets. Big thanks to Capt. Marty Lacoste for setting up the trip.
