Went out to target bass and sac a lait this past Saturday and didn't plan on that much current (fast falling water). I knew the conditions were not going to be perfect, but I also knew I wont be able to go for a few weeks too. It was peaceful though. Just a question. How do y'all go about fishing moving water? Or is it even fishable?

Fish love a current...if there is water running out of cuts into that canal, I would start there. Also, fish will tend to sit on the downside of structure in the water, and target bait fish being pushed past by the current. There are many ways, but that is my 2 cents.

If it is water that normally does not have a strong current it can be really tough.

Sit in the not running water cast into the current and let if come back to the still water. If no still water cast up stream and let it slow retrieve over likely spots. I have slaughtered the yearling bass casting around the mouth of a culvert.
