Bad to the Core

I just sent two brand new Core MG50's to have them "super tuned". Dood swore they'd perform almost as good as a Curado.

Bearings and brass gears. 0-60 in warp time.

tell ya what salty, i ran ceramic bearings in all my old green curados. the ydo have their benefits and their drawbacks.the ceramics have a lil "breakin" period where the balls get worn a lil and eventually break in. until they breakin is a lil inconvenient, cus ya can really feel em "grindin".once they are done with the breakin, lordy,lordy!!! casts and handles like a cadillac!!!!they are expensive and definitely worth it!! the more ya use em,the better they get

Just talked to one of the reel gurus on 2cool and he told me don't waste my money trying to upgrade a brand new core. He said you cannot improve perfection. Oh, well. He said the ABEC5 bearings are better than ceramic.
