Battery terminal corrosion

What?s the best anti corrosion stuff to use on your battery terminals? I broke out my boast today and got it cleaned up, but the onboard charger wouldn?t work from bad connections. I worked them over with a wire wheel on my drill, and now the just need a good protective coating to keep the rust away.

I saw the other day where grease was used. Had never heard of doing that but seemed like a good idea

There is a special no-oxide grease they make for electrical connections. Google dat I'm not sure right off hand the name.

I clean post and terminals . Give it all a thin coat of grease and put together . My cranking battery is 5 years old never been touched.

I bought a new battery for my truck at auto zone a few months back and they gave me a little pack of grease to apply to the battery posts.

Corrosion X in red can will solve your corrosion problems w batteries and fuse boxes!! Good luck!!

For the fuse box and other electrical components that works great but not for battery terminals. The corrosion on battery terminals comes from the acid fumes from the battery and needs an oil or grease protection. The best I have found is NOCO pads applied first then topped with NOCO grease initially and once a year thereafter.
