I hate those guys that come around about once a year to say, "sir, we are workng in the area and have extra asphalt". "Would you like for us to spread it in your parking lot for a reduced rate?"
Give me a break!!! ![]() |

Speck is this the ground asphalt they get when stripping the road. If so how fine is it ground up. I had looked at getting some several years back and had big chunks in it.

its all recycled.we run concrete and asphalt through a crusher. you do have sum "fines" in the mix but ya have small rock also.we crush em in 610 size and we will custom crush for the right price.the asphalt and crushed concrete looks like a slab when spread and compacted.nice stuff

Speckdaddy is ablolutely 100% correct. We use it on farm roads and the road to my house. If put out and shaped correctly, were water cannot stand on it (turtle back), it is near maintenance free. We use the finer crushed sediment and it packs well. Just the right mix of sand, old martyr, and very small pieces of concrete. Do not confuse with soil cement, this does not bond and then crack later, it packs. And way cheaper than lime stone! |

If you get it when it's not too wet, their drivers can set their chains to get the thickness you want. They do a good job, just let them know what you want. Just remember if you have an existing base you are not going to need it too thick, but if you don't already have a base put it thick so it can pack! I answered your pm. |
