I fished Lake Verret this weekend (3/20/10) I noticed that all the bass caught were either males or females that already spawned. It didn't look like any had eggs. Has anyone else noticed the same in other areas. Just was wondering, I wasn't thinking it had been warm enough for the bass to spawn and if it has then the big momma bass wouldn't be on the bank anymore. explaining why most fish caught were males. If anyone knows what the transitions are right now and what areas, I would appreciate the feedback, thanks!

Males building the beds most likely the females don't normally move up until the week before the full moon.

Water is still cold. Usally bout 65-70 degrees, I've caught bass at the 1st of June with eggs, they don't have to spawn in March or April, but is usally the time water starts getting around those temps. Not that case this year, been cold.

Ok, yeah I wasn't thinking about moon phase. This weather has been wack too, cool a.m. and hot afternoons.
