Default Frog Fest turnout

I know not many guys from here attended this year but I'm telling you that you have to go next year. This thing was a blast. I got there about noon Saturday and got back home at 6am Sunday morning. It was 10x better than I expected it would be. Great door prizes, great people, lots and lots of booze. They had several games for door prizes such as frog toss, skinning a frog with your bare hands the the main event at 2am was throwing out frogs with ribbons tied to there legs as far as they could and the contestants had to swim out from the landing and bring them back. The cuy below with the yeti icechest and muzzel loader won. I'm the guy with the snake. Dont know what I was thinking but I saw it swimming by the landing and caught it behind the head. It flipped around and bit me on the wrist. Thank God it was onlya a water snake. Oh, and I also sunk my go-devil boat so we did not frog for long. The winning weight was 21 lbs. for 10 frogs.

To be honest....... 3 fogs.

It was hard competing with the locals that knew the swamp.

I could have cared less if I didnt catch any frogs..... Me and 151 and his dad had a blast. I havent had that much fun in years... It was like therapy to me.

Amen to that! It was a great time out there for sure and I'm looking forward to doing it again! My hat's off to the sponsors and the organizers. With the exception of registration times, it went very well. I think the late registration was just a ploy to sell a couple hundred extra cases of beer! I know we helped out in that dept a great bit!

Thanks to all the great people I met over there! Turtle's bar, you guys have a great place! My dad and another couple we met there that happened to be from Oklahoma as well, all said that they had never really seen a place like it before and loved all the personalities!

A lady that I used to know worked for the EPA and she went to the Rayne Frog Festival. She complained that they were mistreating and eating those frogs. I guess she expected a display of peoples pet tree frogs. She would have fainted at the Spotters convention. Party on, Dudes!
