tohatsu 40 hp tldi?

Anyone ran or own one of these, if so what do you think? I want a 2 stroke since I fish the marsh but I also fish lakes and rivers. If you have one what boat size are you pushing and how is hole shot and top end.

Yes, we have them at Grosse Savanne and they do well in the marsh. The 40 hp .is easy to turn into a 50 HP takes all of 1 minute. Really big difference when you remove the baffle. My brother bought one and put it on a 1842 tunnel runs great and pretty fast, I like it, if I needed a motor that is what I would buy.

If you buy one from Lake Area Marine they will take the baffle out for you.

I run a 09 40 Nissan on a 13 whaler........I'm pretty sure its tldi as well......is there a baffle in it to?

Yea from what I understand the only diff in the Nissan and Tohatsu is the stickers and price, so it should have the baffle if its the low press injection 2 stroke, do you feel the same Dink about your nissan as he does the tohatsu

The Nissan is awesome!! Never even a hiccup! With the right prop it hit 43.5 wot, but no holeshot.......I cruise at 30 sippin fuel
