Default .22 scope
My dad has a Remington Speedmaster that I want to put a scope on as a Christmas gift. What scope should I go with? It'll shoot shorts, longs and long rifles.

make sure its for a rimfire because of a diffrece in vibrations when sht will eventually screw up a scope if not made for rimfire. went thru two scopes on a .22 mag before I found this out. Cabelas has some caliber specific scopes for around 100 bucks

Been having a simmons prohunter on mine for quite a few years now. Never any trouble with rimifre vibrations or what not.

My buddy just put that on his. Them mil dots are sick. He was putting some squirrels down today. Where can I find the cricket scope at?

NCStar makes a nice 4x scope with illuminated reticle. I fondled one at a gun show recently and my next 10\22 build will have one. It was 80 bucks there so you can probably find it around 50 or 60 at amazon or google.

My current build has a BSA Red dot, no magnification. Made for killing armadillos out to 30 yards.

BSA has a .22 rimfire specific scope called the "sweet 22". They use a trajectory compensation technology. Just slip on the adjustment knob to the top of the scope that matches they grain bullet you will be shooting and you are ready to go. They make them for other calibers also. They look cool and are affordable as well. My brother-in-law picked his up at academy.

I have the BSA "sweet .22" and I like it.

I have the BSA "Sweet 17" scope and love it on my 17 hmr. I know that isn't the answer to your question but I am impressed with the quality of this brand.
