Default Lacassine Wildfire?
I heard a rumor that there was a fire in the refuge that burned about 2,000 acres...supposedly it was west of the field lottery unit to Lacassine Bayou.

Anyone know anything else about this?

I dont think it was prescribed...friend of mine heard it from a Wildlife management person who said they were fighting it. Just trying to get more info as all. You figure something like this would have warranted some sort of media coverage.

What would the fire hurt Not much down there to burn up, nothing real newsworthy

Refuge game warden tried to accuse me and a buddy of lighting it on fire last year.
