My cousin has a jet ski and he keeps talking about getting it set up for trout fishing everytime I see him. He says he knows some guy that rigs em up for fishing.

Saw him too...he was near the "DO NOT ANCHOR OR DREDGE" sign. right where those rocks open and let the water back towards the shore a little bit.

Sounds like an excellent idea to me They are fast, easy on the gas, handle those 4 foot waves pretty good too

Shallow water + Jet drive = expensive repair bills

Exactly! Or, imagine sucking up some grass and having to hop off in ice cold water to remove it!

The fishing thing is still pretty cool! I used one years back to check jug lines while our boat was in the shop. I didn't have it set up too great though and keeping a 12lb blue under your foot while on a stringer doing 40 mph was kinda tricky!

Yeah my podna took his brand new sea doo rxp to grand isle and ran it in some shallow water. Ate up the wear ring and prop, cost him some big bucks to fix. That sure is one wicked fast jet ski though. 0-50 in under 3 seconds.
