Default Dularge 12/17

Me and a buddy tried out lake de Cade today for our first time after reading the recent reports on here. Started at sunrise with light mist and heavy winds. Had 20 by 8am with 4 reds, finished with 26. We didn't know where to fish exactly so just made several drifts. They wouldn't bite anything but a blue/white gulp under a cork. Will definitely be making another trip. Lake was not crowded at all, most were running to their blinds.

Not too shabby. Next time I suggest a Tsunami Swim Shad with a split tail. Thats what we do our damage on. Don't exactly remember the colors though

I know they put up a couple of new rock barricades crossing goin from lil-deuce and into raccourci is best to look at google earth around the area to know exactly which canals are still open.....they messing up a bunch of good fishing in that area but gotta save the marsh

Thanks for the info, that was quite the spot back some 10-15 yrs ago...

We would launch out of Cannons and run down, hit the Deuce for reds and flounder and work the grass (not sure if its still there) for specks on the North side of DeCade on the way back...

Glad to hear they are addressing the marsh issue over there...

Thanks again,
Hydro

Yes. Cross DeCade and go down through Bayou DeCade and where it comes to a T in a no wake zone, you go left and that will bring you around into Raccourci. Stay on the left side by fairly close to the white PVC poles and that will bring you around into another short canal that runs into Mechant. It can get real rough out there real quick.

Raccourci is shallow in some areas so stick by the poles on the left side and you'll be fine.
