i like a swivel...keeps the line twist from occuring and i find the baits dont tangle as much.... 15 lb flouro is what i use for the actual double rig line.

Just tie two leaders of different length to a swivel and tie your main line to other end of swivel. Works much better.

I have been fishing tandem rigs for years, and i don't mess with the swivels... I tie a jig head on the bottom, and about 18" above that I tie an overhand knot with a small loop. Then I make another overhand knot with the loop to keep it from slipping.... Pass that loop through the eye of the second jig head and around the hook. The knot strength might not be great, but you can tie this rig very quickly and it works for me.
