I bought new line and hose last year from academy. Just changed out again this week to blue bulb and hose. No ethanol and still ate bulb and hose. They claim even the NO ethanol still has 2-4% according to mechanic at Jerrys marine who checks the fuel locally. I put bulb before filter as that is what they recommend and does fill faster. That blue hose and bulb is expensive!!!

It is usually the fuel and the poor quality material they make the bulb and hose assy's out of. The desire to make a product cheaper has given us poor quality products. Look for the better ones and problem should be solved. Agree on the wally world junk comment. Academy is no different.

Put a valve in front of your filter/separator. When changing your filter, turn off the valve. Fill your filter w/ fuel. Install the new cartage, then turn the valve back on. This keeps you fuel system from getting air locked.
