Great Trout Fishing!
No fishing this AM as it was a little gloomy for 80 yr old Mr Jules Broussard and Mr Al to pull the trigger. We were hoping to get in Day 2 after whacking 44 nice trout yesterday. No problem as I have been fishing and fighting the flu bug all week. On Friday,Nov 30 we had Alan Jordan with the Prism group come in to fish with us. Capt Josh Ellender and I ran the 2 boat trip. I fished with Alan,Kenny Wilkinson, and Timmy Conrad. Capt Josh fished with Bradley Jordan,Kevin Hohe and Ray Hohe. We enjoyed some friendly but serious competition between the 2 boats. Capt Josh and his crew got off to a quick start as they were leading the pack staying about 15-20 fish ahead of us for most of the morning. We were working the marsh and bayous around Bayou Seveur and the guys were having a great time jawing with each other. We fished one very productive location before heading in and were able to close the distance with the other boat. We knew it would be close and the final tally once back at the Lakehouse revealed an even tie with 83 trout and 2 reds on each boat. Not a bad morning catching 170 nice fish. Most everything was caught on bunker and blueback swim baits and the Big Eye blue under a cork. Always a pleasure fishing with Alan and the Prism group! Good luck fishing.
