Default HDS 7 Help

I have an HDS 7 and it simply does not seem to do what it should be doing. It is new to me, so it is possible that it's operator error, but I just don't think so. I can't get it off of split screen even when I opt for single screen; I can't get it to show my downscan or sidescan with the LSS transducer that is installed and I can't get it to show my chart with any detail.

I would be willing to bring my boat down to big lake, or up to toledo (I live in Deridder) for one of you guys that know this system to take a look at it.

I appreciate it.

Dan

Is it the insight HDS? If not, and you dont have a navioncs card there will be no detail on the map as for the other problems I dont know. Maybe check your connections. The pages button is how you take it off split screen

On the LSS unit check the yellow wilre and make sure it is connected to the yellow wire from the HDS unit. if the yellow wire is connected with the red wire the unit will work but it will start to create lag and be unresponsive.

there are also settings for the structure scan transducer that will give you better performance and detail but you will have to read the manual to make the necessary adjustments.
