Can't help you with monkey bars...
Rookie fisher here, and been fishing Cocodrie this summer too. Been staying at Coco Marina, kinda looking for a camp to rent, or something different anyway. Where you been staying? (if you have been staying) I live in Prairieville also. |

Marina. Leave about 3am. I'd love to get a camp just to offset the cost of gas for dragging a boat 120 miles every 2 weeks. Plus I have to keep my boat in baton rouge at my shop. Also a pain in balls. |

The monkey bars are about 2 miles from the east point of wine island. I find they produce the most fish early to mid summer. Also if you are in the area check out the platforms in the area also. 29° 05.382’ N. Latitude ~ 090° 37.338’W. Lon. Use caution when approaching they are a group of sand bars that are covered in water at high tide. You can see the waves breaking over them. This time of year you should be scouting further north. The lake bare area would be a good place to start.
