Got on the water early hoping for a good day. Ran out of Calc. point in the dark. Wanting to beat the crowds. Winds were pretty slack and lots of cloud cover. Tried all the spots where I've recently found fish. Lake was unusually quiet for a Saturday. Not many boats at all. Guess I was in the wrong spots. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1395592820.738805.jpgBite was sloooooooowww!! Couple of dinks and a rat red after five hours. Not a fish in the box by noon, brutal. Finally found a few. Called "uncle" at 3:00.

There weren't many boats out. Lots of oyster boats in West Cove. Caught (4) keeper reds close to Rabbit Island from 10:30 to noon. We had to come in. Beautiful day to be on the water. Didn't find any trout.

Thought the lake sucked last year? Looks like this year will be even worse. Very disappointing right now.
