Default The Basin
This is a place I have never been to. Very curious about it. Want to go but have no clue where to start. It looks like a place you could go anywhere and catch fish.

So just curious on places to launch and areas to fish. How deep to fish? Is it deep out there? I would be coming from Lake Charles so launches closer to this end would be better. Thanks for the help in advance.

Kerns Landing, Henderson, La
Exit 115, drive straight to the levee, cross the levee and you are there. Right across the levee from Pat's Restaurant.

Before coming check the Butte La Rose river stage and make sure it is on a fall. The fishing is much better when the river is falling.

The water is climing and muddy right now. You should wait a while. However the crawfish are about to kick off.

Went yesterday. Water mostly muddy except for bar pits. Lots of fishermen there = lots of pressure. Only picked up 2 by noon. Maybe next week.
