Trout smackdown in Big Lake 1/10/2011

Well, decided to go out in the cold weather this morning. A buddy in my Army Reserve unit came in from Houston and he is sure glad that he did. He's not a fisherman but had no problem getting in on the trout bite. We hit the water at 7:30 and headed to the bay. 37* and only 2 other boats were around the rest of the morning. Water was super slick with a low north wind, a million birds everywhere, and no problem getting our limit of trout. My buddy had a blast and took home 30 specs and 2 reds to share with his family and friends. Great times on the water this morning.
