Sabine NWR navigation
I have been fishing with family down in hackberry to holly beach for a few summers now. I need some advice.
I have noticed that everyone appears to go east from the boat launches off hwy 27. They head toward calcasieu River and lake. But, why don't people go west from hog island gully or west cove launch into Sabine NWR and marsh? I would think that area would be good for redfish and crabs. Are the canals too shallow for say a xpress bay boat? Any advice would be appreciated. Joe
