I've always thought that power tech had the toughest props. they usually are a lot thicker than the others. I always ran them on my 200 outboard, not the fastest, but lasted a long time.
I still run powertech on my 90 that I crawfish with. they hold up well.

maybe u got a bad prop, or maybe u just hit something that was really hard.
