Default How many remember???

I was cracking a beer with an old buddy of mine the other day and we were discussing the popularity of CB radios back in 1976 and 1977 and comparing it to kids having cell phones today.

How many of ya'll remember and had 'em?? Man, you were stylin' if you had a Craig PowerPlay with Pioneer 60 oz. magnets in the rear and a Cobra CB with a PA speaker under the hood. Of course, I had both in my '71 Charger. Along with my Doobie Bros, Grand Funk, Isley Bros, and Led Zep 8 tracks.

For those that remember, what were your handles?? Like the movie and the candy bar, my handle was Marathon Man, Lasts a Good Long Time.

Looking back, it's embarassing but you gotta remember: this was way before cell phones and texting. Heck, microwave ovens and VCRS were just invented about then. PCs were still 10 years away.

Thinking about it, it is the same as with the kids today. Fool's got facebook and cellphones to chat on; We had CB's to track each other's whereabouts....

How many remember???
