My cousin hasn't been fishing in a while and his wife gave him the pass to go fishing this saturday. even though the weather predictions were bad, he doesn't get the pass very often so he had to take advantage of it. we stayed at the cameron motel b/c everything was booked around hebert's. Got on the water before daylight. Ship Channel and West Cove looked like chocolate milk. So moved south of old jetties. Caught 2 trout on topwater and had a few more blow ups. Moved to the east bank and found some clean water. Caught the biggest fish I have ever caught on the lake, 5.7 lbs. Ended up with 11 specks, and i caught all of them! My cousin didn't put one fish in the boat. I don't know what he was doing wrong. I lost a few and should have had my limit and he didn't catch a fish. He doesn't reel in his slack before he sets the hook i think that's his prob. He said this trip was just to get the rust off. Looked south and weather looked bad so we headed in through the rain. Sorry, W if I would have still been on the lake i would have towed u in but headed in round 11am.
