Default Big Lake 6-23-10

A buddy and I hit the lake this morning. When we got to Calcasieu Point it was drizzling. Launched and started heading down the ship channel. Got by Spicer's and it started pouring. I pulled into my uncles camp and got under the deck and out the rain. Dried off and chilled for about an hour. Bout 7am the rain stopped. I tried a few spots up north trying to stay away from the weather down south. But i couldn't take it, I had to run south to where I was catching them on top this past Saturday. Got there and wind was kicking a little. Threw topwater for a few with only one blowup. Wind was blowing out the SW but then changed to the E. So now I decided to move to the East bank. On the way, I came across a huge flock of gulls with trout busting the surface as far as u could see. Creeped in and caught 23 trout in about 45min all in one area. It started to rain a little again and looked like alot more was fixing to come so at about 9:30am we headed out.
