I've had several people ask me via PM what happened to get Jeremy kicked off of SaltyCajun, especially considering he was a 40% stakeowner. I don't really feel that it is everyone's business what went on, but since he is spreading libelous claims on the internet about me and about this site, I wanted to make a few things known about the goings-on that led to this. I will not post his private emails, PMs, and Reported Post drivel here, as I don't want that sort of trash on my forum.
First, let me say that I was raised to show respect to everyone, whether you like them or not. I also learned that the easiest way to defeat someone who has no respect for themselves or others is to simply walk away and sever ties. I never cuss anyone, as I simply won't stoop to that level. People who do that aren't worth the air they breathe, as it shows a complete lack of respect for themselves to carry on that way. There are only a few things in life that will get somebody on my bad side, as I am honestly a person who doesn't hate anyone. Several people here can attest to the fact that I am very forgiving, and rarely permanently ban anyone. It takes a LOT to upset me, but if you threaten me, my family, or my friends, or show a complete lack of respect for any of these people, I have no respect for you, and I will not be around you. Suffice it to say that Jeremy has done all of the above many, many times over the last several months, culminating with me waking to find about 5 emails in my mailbox that were laced with profanity and threats towards me, this site, the charity organization I run, and pretty much everything in the world that lives and breathes. In addition, I had received many similar PMs and he made similarly inappropriate comments in about 20 Reported Posts he made while throwing a fit. For this, Jeremy received his final ban from SaltyCajun. He did not get banned for his retorts to Salty (which went WAY over the line, by the way, as anyone with Gill Net access who was online after about 9PM Monday night can attest), Bruce, or anyone else on the forum. I had at least 10 PMs from people asking why I didn't ban him hat night, stating that I would have banned anyone else ten minutes into his 6-hour tirade in the Gill Net, which is absolutely true. And contrary to what Jeremy says, Salty was not promoted to a moderator this week. ![]() However, I had a business deal with Jeremy, and I am a businessman who does not moderate/ban based on my emotions or opinions. If you get banned from SaltyCajun, it is not because I disagree with you, but because you broke the rules. There are many here that can attest to how much it takes to get banned by me. ![]() Since then, Jeremy has gone on a crusade of lies, trying to pull sponsors and members away from this site. Frankly, I know that a couple of the sponsors and a bunch of the members here were only here because of Jeremy, either through personal friendship, or because they love to watch a narcissist burn himself down. For whichever of those two reasons, I fully expect that some members and perhaps a couple sponsors will choose to leave this site. I completely understand if they do, and will hold no grudge or ill-will towards them, and I thank them for their support. Those that choose to stay with SaltyCajun are greatly appreciated, and we will continue to work with you to make the most of your advertising dollars. As an example of the type of BS Jeremy is engaging in, below are the emails sent to our sponsors by me and Jeremy, respectively. I will leave it to you to choose whether you want to follow Jeremy to whatever endeavor he undertakes next, or stay here at SaltyCajun: Quote:

If you choose to associate with him, that is your business, and I won't hold it against you as long as you follow the forum rules here. As I told someone via PM last night, you don't have to like me or agree with me to post here, you simply have to follow the rules and show respect for other members. I will not post again here on SaltyCajun about this, and I will continue to close any threads that bash Jeremy, as he is not here to defend himself. If you wish to do this, there are other places where you can find him online and have your fun. On another note, I have purchased Jeremy's share of SaltyCajun for the price that he asked, so he was far from being swindled into a deal. I am now the sole owner of SaltyCajun. Thank you for your support of SaltyCajun.com and your help in making it one of the top outdoor forums in Louisiana, and I look forward to the growth and success we are sure to see over the coming months and years. Best, Jeff Shaddix PS: And please, no bashing on this thread, either.
